Birds Love the Berries
Noted for the best fall fruit display of any Viburnum, young fruits are orange-yellow maturing to glossy red. Robins will flock to the branches to devour the attractive fruit. White flat-topped, slightly-fragrant flower clusters in late spring. Upright, vase-shaped habit. For maximum fruiting, plant in groups of 3 or more. With its multi-season interest, the deciduous foliage of this shrub changes from soft blue-green to dark green and finally muted purple in fall. Chinese monks on Mount Omei once made a sweet tea with medicinal properties hence the common name, Tea Viburnum.
