Muhlenbergia General Information

Muhlenbergia are clump-forming grasses. Stems begin to arch outward as summer progresses producing a weeping habit. Pink seed heads rise above the foliage in early Fall. Foliage slowly turns buff colored in fall. Ornamental Grasses are restricted from Idaho and Oregon. Idaho has restricted all potted plant material from being shipped into Idaho at this time.

Muhlenbergia Plant Care

Tolerant of drought, heat and poor soils. Can be divided in spring. Does not produce runners. If desired, shear in late winter before new spring growth appears. Requires well-drained soil to survive wet winters.
