Earlier Blooming
Hydrangea Quick Fire Fab® extends the Hydrangea season with showy, upright conical-shaped flowers. As summer advances, the crisp white/green mophead flowers progress bottom to top with a blush of watermelon pink and continue to darken as the color works its way up to a refreshing lime-green tip. Fabulous it is AND reliable! Enjoy months of flowers with Hydrangea Quick Fire Fab®. Look closely at the lush blooms; each individual floret has a cruciform shape which gives them a lush texture. Panicle Hydrangea hold up to heat well. Can be grown as a stunning flowering hedge or an eye-catching specimen. Vases will overflow with both fresh and dried cut flowers. Paniculatas are the most cold hardy-a native of Asia. Stiff upright branches never get floppy. Will need several hours of sun to do well. Flowers are more cone-shaped than ball-like. Proven Winners® selections are trialed and tested to be colorful, long blooming, carefree and easy to grow.

Hydrangea General Information

Paniculata Hydrangeas are cold hardy, more sun tolerant and superb in the border for summer and autumn display. Blooming on new wood, the flowering is not affected by cold snaps and will bloom consistently every year. Provides winter interest too if flowers are left on. Great for indoor decorating as their flowers are easily dried. Proven Winners® selections are trialed and tested to be colorful, long blooming, carefree and easy to grow. Idaho has restricted all potted plant material from being shipped into Idaho at this time.

Hydrangea Plant Care

Paniculata Hydrangeas can be pruned in the fall, winter, or spring. Do not prune just before they bloom, and it is not necessary to prune them every year. For a strong structure, it is a good idea to trim out any crossing branches once in awhile. Shaping can be done as needed.

Plantable Pots

Our plants are grown in 3.5x3.5x4” plantable pots. Made from 100% biodegradable coconut husk fibers (coir), these pots have tremendous advantages over plastic pots. With better air exchange, this "breathable" pot fosters robust root growth and reduces transplant shock since you can plant the pots directly in the ground. The pot naturally becomes part of the soil on its own over time—no composting required—and since they're made from a renewable resource that requires very little energy, they're earth-friendly too!
