Red stems on foliage and flower scapes provide warm contrast and set this Hosta apart from others. Rippled foliage emerges brilliant yellow gold changing to chartreuse green in summer. Lavender flowers in midsummer. Vigorous grower.

Hosta thrive in shade, even in competition with tree roots, hurray! It is hard to find a garden that won’t benefit from incorporating some Hosta.

Deadheading will improve the appearance of Hosta, but birds love the seeds, and some Hosta will self sow, but not usually true to the parent. Remove soupy frozen foliage in the late fall or early spring. Can be divided in spring or fall every 3-5 years.
