Great Heat and Humidity Tolerance
Scalloped foliage in warm tea-colored tones of orange, apricot and a blush of rose glow with highlights of gold. A darker patterned veining, like cinnamon stars, embellish the deeply cut foliage. In late spring, sprays of white flowers on slender stems sweeten this ‘tea’. Heucherella Sweet Tea with its H. villosa breeding supplies an impressive big, bold habit. Leaves will darken with rich tones in summer then lighten again in the fall. An instant classic for containers and borders. A cross of Heuchera and Tiarella. Forms an expanding mound flowering in late spring into summer with strong leaf colors and great flowers. Versatile!

Heucherella General Information

Heucherella are an interesting cross of Heuchera and Tiarella. Forms an expanding mound flowering in late spring into early summer with strong leaf colors and great flowers. Versatile - excelling in the north, as well as the heat and humidity of the South. If grown in full sun, will need more moisture. Idaho has restricted all potted plant material from being shipped into Idaho at this time.

Heucherella Plant Care

Remove old stems of faded flowers for additional bloom and to tidy up so that the attractive foliage can be appreciated. Can be divided every 3-4 years in early spring. Remove and discard the old woody parts of the crown. In cold climates, winter mulch applied after the ground freezes will help prevent root heaving.
