An enchanting understory for smaller trees or shrubs. This mat-forming aromatic groundcover flaunts white flowers with a hint of pink. Opening from burgundy buds, plentiful flower clusters flaunt long, lacy pink filaments that protrude from each center.

The dense semi-evergreen foliage of Geranium Spessart heightens its appeal with foliage exhibiting autumn shades of red and bronze. In our trial houses, this beauty was still quite appealing even when going out of flower. Spreads by shallow rhizomes.

Geranium General Information

Perennial Geranium are always a favorite for its excellent mounding habit and late spring to summer bloom time. Lovely foliage complements the flowers well. Many of the flowers exhibit interesting veining.

Geranium Plant Care

Prefers well-drained soil. Snip off spent flowering stems at the base or shear tops back to new growth to stimulate rebloom and freshen foliage. Generally does not need division but can be divided in spring or fall if desired.
