Butterflies love the vibrant pinwheels of orange red with bright yellow centers. From the Solstice Series – an aptly names series as these perennials have one of the longest bloom times; yet they are also one of the shortest in stature. Outstanding drought tolerant perennials.
Transparent flakes resembling tiny pieces of ice cover the succulent foliage of Delosperma Solstice Red, hence the common name, Ice Plant. Delosperma are evergreen perennials in warmer climates. The foliage brings lushness to dry areas.

Delosperma cooperi 'Solstice Red' (Pending)
Delosperma are evergreen in warmer climates. Rebloom occurs most of the season. Thrives in dry, full sun areas with poor soil and provides color during the difficult summer months.
Once established, no special care is needed. Prefers a sheltered site and dry conditions in winter. Good drainage a must. Good plant for sandy soil. Likes a gravely area and may also be used as a green roof plant.
