Bright violet pink, spiraled feathery petals surround pink quilled centers. Thistle-like flower buds open to bright flowers that are produced all summer on strong upright stems. Easy to grow.

Flowers are great for cutting and can be used for fresh arrangements as well as dried.

Centaurea General Information:

Centaurea are trouble-free and easy to grow. Unusual buds open to provide fringed, thistlelike blooms. Foliage varies in texture, color and shape.

Centaurea Plant Care:

Can be cut back by 2/3rds after blooming to freshen foliage. Prefers a normal to alkaline soil. Will spread to fill in. Can be divided every 2-3 years in spring or fall.
