Astilbe General Information

Astilbe lend a refined grace to perennial borders. Lush deeply cut foliage is attractive for the entire season and is colored from green to bronze. Effective anywhere with rich moist soil and partial shade. Deer resistant. Idaho has restricted all potted plant material from being shipped into Idaho at this time.

Astilbe Plant Care

Low care. Needs moisture during dry spells. Dried heads can be left standing if desired or cut down at anytime. Can be divided every 3-5 years in early spring. Cut through woody crowns to separate eyes to form additional plants. Add fertilizer or compost if desired when planting or moving and in late fall to winter.
