Twice the fun - colorful foliage AND long-lasting flowers! Lime-green glossy leaves sizzle with newly emerging golden yellows, oranges and caramel tones. Summer ushers in soft-lavender, fragrant flowers. Semi-evergreen and very deer resistant too!
Abelia are colorful, fragrant deciduous shrubs with loose upright-arching stems. Trumpet-shaped flowers adorn glossy foliage. Attracts butterflies.
Abelia flower best in full sun. Easy growing, low-maintenance with limited pruning. If desired, begin pruning in its third growing season to maintain size and shape. Trimming or shaping should be done in late fall through very early spring before new growth begins. Abelia may also benefit from a hard shearing every couple of years to keep a neat appearance. Blooms on new growth.
