Three Seasons of Eye-Popping Color
Spiraea japonica Double Play Dolly bursts with astonishing colors for three seasons. In early spring the foliage flushes a brilliant orange red. Vivid purple flowers then emerge to make a truly eye-popping color combination. As the season progresses, the foliage matures to a dazzling chartreuse hue, maintaining its color throughout the growing season. New foliage continues to emerge in shades of orange and red through fall, providing continuous showy color in your garden. With its neat and compact habit, it is an ideal specimen for growing in containers or landscapes. Group them in a rock garden, along paths, or as a foundation planting. This variety is durable and easy to care for, drought tolerant, and resistant to deer.

Plantable Pots

Our plants are grown in 3.5x3.5x4” plantable pots. Made from 100% biodegradable coconut husk fibers (coir), these pots have tremendous advantages over plastic pots. With better air exchange, this "breathable" pot fosters robust root growth and reduces transplant shock since you can plant the pots directly in the ground. The pot naturally becomes part of the soil on its own over time—no composting required—and since they're made from a renewable resource that requires very little energy, they're earth-friendly too!
