Requires Little Pruning
All the charm of a cherry tree in a smaller package, this shrub-like beauty reaches just 3-5’ tall and wide. Showy pink powder-puff blooms with dozens of petals in mid-spring. Foliage emerges coppery-orange then turns to deep green. The purple-black fruits are seldom produced. A sweet charmer – just like its namesake. You too can collect Zuzu's petals! Beautifully colored in autumn. Dense branching provides a lush full look all year even when the deciduous foliage has dropped. Prunus Zuzu has a natural narrow columnar shape so requires little pruning. Underplant with Tulips or Daffodils for an incredible spring show. Proven Winners® selections are trialed and tested to be colorful, long blooming, carefree and easy to grow.

Plantable Pots

Our plants are grown in 3.5x3.5x4” plantable pots. Made from 100% biodegradable coconut husk fibers (coir), these pots have tremendous advantages over plastic pots. With better air exchange, this "breathable" pot fosters robust root growth and reduces transplant shock since you can plant the pots directly in the ground. The pot naturally becomes part of the soil on its own over time—no composting required—and since they're made from a renewable resource that requires very little energy, they're earth-friendly too!
