Juniperus communis 'Tortuga™' (Pending 'SMNJCB')
Junipers are an excellent choice for year-round color in sunny, dry spots. Juniper provide excellent texture for a nice edger or maintenance-free groundcover. Durable deer and drought-resistant foliage for a bright, sunny garden. Great for erosion and weed control too. Evergreen foliage provides year-round color.
Plant Juniper where it will get at least 6 hours of bright sun in well-drained soil for optimum success. Little to no pruning is needed but select branches can be removed to shape or manage growth. Fertilize in early spring once the ground has thawed using a granular garden, rose, or tree fertilizer.
