Dense bicolored blooms remind us of a cool summer treat as they emerge frosty white then from the bottom up transition to sherbet pink. Delectable! Mature blossoms are deep raspberry toned. Upward-facing blooms on strong stems are stunning in vases. Soil acidity does not affect bloom color.
Immense flowers dry well for bouquets and hold up well as cut flowers. Proven WinnersŪ selections are trialed and tested to be colorful, long blooming, carefree and easy to grow. A native of Asia-the most cold hardy. Stiff upright branches never need support. Will need several hours of sun to do well. The flowers are more cone shaped than ball-like. Can also be shaped into tree form.
Paniculata Hydrangeas are cold hardy, more sun tolerant and superb in the border for summer and autumn display. Blooming on new wood, the flowering is not affected by cold snaps and will bloom consistently every year. Provides winter interest too if flowers are left on. Great for indoor decorating as their flowers are easily dried.

Paniculata Hydrangeas can be pruned in the fall, winter, or spring. Do not prune just before they bloom, and it is not necessary to prune them every year. For a strong structure, it is a good idea to trim out any crossing branches once in awhile. Shaping can be done as needed.
