Hakonechloa macra 'Sunflare' (PP27,734 'HABsf1007')
Hakonechloa are one of the best ornamental grass choices for shade. Likes a moist humusy soil, and good drainage. Cascades handsomely over itself. Ornamental Grasses are restricted from Idaho and Oregon.
Prefers a uniformly moist, humus-rich soil in partial shade. If division is desired it should be done in the spring as new growth develops. In Northern zones plants will benefit from a layer of mulch for winter.
