Phygelius General Information

Phygelius is a showy perennial with an upright, bushy, shrub-like structure. Best in moist, well-drained soils. Long, funnel-shaped blossoms attract hummingbirds.

Phygelius Plant Care

Remove spent flowers to prolong bloom. Cut back to basal foliage in late winter. To maintain size and spread, pinch back foliage during the growing season and prune low growing, rooting branches. Foliage will die back to ground level in cooler zones and will come up again from root stock in spring. Will stay semi-evergreen in warmer zones.
