Hollyhock General Information
Hollyhock are perhaps the definitive old-fashioned garden plant. Flowering from late spring through summer, these are the tall stately flowers you looked up to in your grandmother's garden. Best selection for the coldest areas (zones 3 & 4), not for the gulf states.
Idaho has restricted all potted plant material from being shipped into Idaho
at this time.
Hollyhock Plant Care
Although biennial, allow seeds to fall and the clump will persist for many many years. May need staking. Rust (little orange dots on the leaves) can be a problem in high humidity and can be treated with a copper-based fungicide.
