Fringed tulips stand out in the garden with eye-catching, fringed edges on each petal. They make excellent cut flowers and bloom for up to three weeks.
Plant in medium moisture, organically rich well-drained soil at a depth of three times the height of the bulb (usually around 6" deep and 6" apart). Foliage should not be removed until it has withered as energy is being stored for the next growing season. Stems can be cut back to maintain appearances if desired. The plant is intolerant of heat and may lose vigor when soil temperatures reach 70 degrees F.
