Lily General Information

Oriental Lilies have noticeably larger flowers than other lilies and bloom in a fabulous array of colors. Easy to grow with thick stems, strappy leaves, and showy flowers. Their intense fragrance makes them a welcome addition to any cut flower garden.

Lily Plant Care

Lilies like direct sunlight and well-drained soil. Plant 6" apart and 6" deep. Cut off spent flower stalks once the petals have fallen, trimming them back to just above a pair of leaves. Leave as much stem and as many leaves as possible as they nourish the bulb for next year’s blooms. Do not remove or cutback stalks until complete dieback has occurred in the fall, it could weaken the bulb. Taller varieties will require staking.
