Daffodil General Information
Clusters of intensely fragrant flowers. Paperwhites need no cooling period to bloom. Cheerful addition to any windowsill or table centerpiece. Zones 8, 9 and 10 can plant outdoors to survive year after year.
Daffodil Plant Care
Grow paperwhites indoors near a bright, sunny window and rotate their container every couple of days to keep the stems straight. Paperwhites only need 3-4" to grow, so a shallow container with well-drained soil works well. Keep pot in the sun until the foliage dies. About six weeks after the Paperwhite blooms, turn the pot on its side and store it somewhere where it will not freeze – a garage or basement. In the fall, turn the pot upright, place in sun and water thoroughly. Continue watering until the Paperwhite blooms again.
