Daffodil General Information

Daffodils / Narcissus are the classic flower for spring gardens. Great for use in borders, rock gardens, and in fresh cut arrangements. They are often fragrant and bloom for two to three weeks between late winter and late spring. Large Cupped Daffodils have bright rich colors and outstanding blooms. Selected and recommended for their outstanding growth habit and naturalizing. One flower per stem. Consider planting them under deciduous trees that will not leaf out until after the Narcissus have bloomed.

Daffodil Plant Care

In fall, plant bulbs in deep, fertile, well-drained soil in full sun to light shade. Plant 4-6" apart and 6" deep in groups of 5,7,9 or more. Water during their growth period. After flowers bloom, let the foliage die back naturally. Can be cut back once the foliage fades. Visit our Fall-Planted Bulb Guide for more information. *Note: Wear gloves when planting bulbs to prevent any possible skin irritation.
