Uvularia Grandiflora

"Merry Bells, Fairybells, Bellwort"

Sorry Sold Out

Graceful soft-yellow bells on slender stems.
"

A member of the Lily family, 1-2÷ long bells are suspended from tall arching stems. The sheer petals in soft yellow gently flare and hang gracefully downward from slender stems like a ballet dancer?s skirt. A US native, it is most at home in dappled sunlight in spring and light shade in summer.

Uvularia will brighten a deep shady area. The leaves appear as though a skilled seamstress pulled a thread through each leaf to form overlapping leaves up the stems. Once established, this woodlander is primarily maintenance free. We like the common names too ? Merry Bells, Fairybells.

Uvularia General Information

Uvularia spreads slowly by rhizomes to create massed plantings. Long-lasting flowers - usually 1-4 per stem are followed by attractive seed capsules. Idaho has restricted all potted plant material from being shipped into Idaho at this time.

Uvularia Plant Care

Maintenance-free once established. Water well during first season to establish or if summer brings drought conditions. Prefers humus-rich soil - add organic matter to retain moisture. Feed with a slow-release fertilizer after flowering.

Plantable Pots

Our plants are grown in 3.5x3.5x4” plantable pots. Made from 100% biodegradable coconut husk fibers (coir), these pots have tremendous advantages over plastic pots. With better air exchange, this "breathable" pot fosters robust root growth and reduces transplant shock since you can plant the pots directly in the ground. The pot naturally becomes part of the soil on its own over time—no composting required—and since they're made from a renewable resource that requires very little energy, they're earth-friendly too!

100% Guarantee

We offer a 100% unconditional guarantee for all our perennials to reach you in good condition and to grow. If you're not satisfied, we'll reship or refund immediately. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have questions or concerns—we share your passion for gardening and want your new plants to thrive in your border!
