Handsome, dark red-centered, carmine-rose flowers bloom non-stop! Heart-shaped, five-petaled flowers hover on branched stems over strawberry-like foliage.

This Potentilla honors Ron McBeath, a former assistant curator of plants at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh, Scotland. The common name, Cinquefoil means five-leaved in reference to the foliage. Mounds of low maintenance, strawberry-like foliage adds a pleasing texture to complement other plants in the garden.

Potentilla are low maintenance perennials with strawberry-like foliage. Does not tolerate the humidity of the Gulf States well. Good lawn substitute for low-traffic areas.

Low maintenance and drought tolerant. Will tolerate any soil as long as it is well drained. Can be divided every 3 years in spring or fall. Will self sow. Clean up damaged foliage in spring.
