Physocarpus General Information

Physocarpus are deciduous shrubs with arching branches. An easy-to-grow, all-purpose shrub will adapt to a wide variety of conditions. Spiraea-like flower clusters. Idaho has restricted all potted plant material from being shipped into Idaho at this time.

Physocarpus Plant Care

Ninebark is best left unpruned to retain its naturally elegant habit; however; every few years or so in late winter, remove any old wood to the ground to encourage new shoots. Blooms on old wood, so shaping is best done just after flowering, and only if needed. Drought tolerant once established.
