Iris General Information
Japanese Iris display some of the most spectacular flowers of all the Irises. Blooms are large, ruffled and flat in form. The last Iris to bloom-generally several weeks after the Bearded Iris. Perfect beside a stream or a pond.
Idaho has restricted all potted plant material from being shipped into Idaho
at this time.
Iris Plant Care
Requires ample moisture in a slightly acid, heavy, rich soil with ample organic matter. In Spring, if rainfall is not sufficient, give extra water until bloom time. Heavy feeders, apply a balanced fertilizer such as 12-12-12 in spring just before blooming.
