Each season brings a new look! Early foliage is golden green with deep red veining. Leaves of Alabama Sunrise are deeply incised and large. Late summer leaves are deeper green with red veins, and finally, fall foliage turns to glowing orange-pink. The H. villosa parentage makes this a vigorous, heat and drought tolerant steamy-summer-loving selection. White flowering.

Heucherella General Information

Heucherella are an interesting cross of Heuchera and Tiarella. Forms an expanding mound flowering in late spring into early summer with strong leaf colors and great flowers. Versatile - excelling in the north, as well as the heat and humidity of the South. If grown in full sun, will need more moisture.

Heucherella Plant Care

Remove old stems of faded flowers for additional bloom and to tidy up so that the attractive foliage can be appreciated. Can be divided every 3-4 years in early spring. Remove and discard the old woody parts of the crown. In cold climates, winter mulch applied after the ground freezes will help prevent root heaving.
