Cultural and Growing Info is provided below.

Vibrant golden yellow petals surround an orange cone.

Named for the brightly colored Cleopatra butterfly, the vibrant golden yellow petals flutter around a prominent orange cone. Fragrant 3” flowers gradually lighten to creamy yellow as they mature for interesting tone-on-tone hues.

Strong well-branched stems. Expect lots of ‘butterfly kisses’ as they flit and flutter throughout this lovely plant to sip nectar from the vibrant blooms. Echinacea provide a spectacular show in any sunny summer border.

Echinacea General Information

Echinacea are considered one of the finest border plants. Flower petals radiate downward from a pronounced central seed head. Butterflies love the flowers, birds love the seeds, and we love the generous long-lasting bouquets. Carefree plants, flowers abound in early summer, then continue until frost.

Echinacea Plant Care

Easy to grow, prolific bloomer. Deadheading will prevent seeding, but birds are crazy about the seeds, and the seedheads are attractive in the winter, especially in the snow. If removing them, leave the foliage at the base of the plant to overwinter. May be slow to emerge in the spring. These generally don't need to be divided, but can be divided in early spring or early fall.

Plantable Pots

Our plants are grown in 3.5x3.5x4” plantable pots. Made from 100% biodegradable coconut husk fibers (coir), these pots have tremendous advantages over plastic pots. With better air exchange, this "breathable" pot fosters robust root growth and reduces transplant shock since you can plant the pots directly in the ground. The pot naturally becomes part of the soil on its own over time—no composting required—and since they're made from a renewable resource that requires very little energy, they're earth-friendly too!
