Deep maroon blooms of Mapira Lily absolutely glow when the sun ignites its petals. A hardy, no-fuss Lily, Asiatic types are a popular choice for northern gardens. Straight stems and countless buds yield superb cut flowers. The strong stems of Asiatic Lilies require no staking and are not particular about soil as long as it drains well.

Lily General Information

Exotic looking, but not fussy. Asiatic Lily are the first Lilies (Lilium) to bloom in summer in a wide variety of bold or pastel colors. Will multiply quickly.

Lily Plant Care

Asiatic Lilies like direct sunlight and well-drained soil. Plant 6" apart and 6" deep. Remove faded flowers, but do not remove or cutback stalks until complete dieback has occurred in the fall, it could weaken the bulb. Divide plants every 3 or 4 years in spring when new growth emerges.
