Armeria General Information

Armeria pseudarmeria are extremely tolerant of both heat and salt while remaining fresh and evergreen. These False Sea Thrifts have broader leaves, stiffer stems and lush ball-shaped flowers in abundance all summer long. Often reblooms when deadheaded. Idaho has restricted all potted plant material from being shipped into Idaho at this time.

Armeria Plant Care

Shear off all old flowers when blooming is done for attractive little clumps all year long. Does best in poor dry soil. Can be divided in spring by splitting clump with a spade. However, it will be slow to recover and these plants usually prefer to be left undisturbed. May benefit from loose winter mulch for protection. Fertilizer is usually not necessary.
