Saponaria General Information

Saponaria are carpets of semi-evergreen sprawling foliage. Small sprays of flowers cover the plant when in full bloom in early summer. Prune back hard after flowering to promote compact growth.

Saponaria Plant Care

Prefers dryish, not overly fertile soil with good winter drainage. Prune/shear back by 1/2 after flowering. Do not prune for winter. Clean up in spring. Can be divided every 3 - 5 years in late summer or early spring.
