Saponaria General Information:

Saponaria are carpets of semi-evergreen sprawling foliage. Small sprays of flowers cover the plant when in full bloom in early summer. Prune back hard after flowering to promote compact growth.

Saponaria Plant Care:

Prefers dryish, not overly fertile soil with good winter drainage. Prune/shear back by 1/2 after flowering. Do not prune for winter. Clean up in spring. Can be divided every 3 - 5 years in late summer or early spring.
