Waves of Golden Blooms
This cheerful, long-blooming perennial displays waves of color from summer through fall. Rudbeckia Treasure Trove produces masses of large, golden yellow, star-shaped flowers with distinctive dark brown centers that completely cover its well-branched form. The large, disease-resistant foliage stays fresh and attractive throughout the growing season, making it an excellent low-maintenance choice for borders and meadow gardens. Fast-growing, this Black-eyed Susan establishes quickly and will naturally spread year after year in sunny areas. Pollinators flock to the flowers, while birds feast on the seedheads in fall. A North American native, it delivers reliable color and easy care in the landscape and cut flower arrangements.

Rudbeckia General Information

Rudbeckia is a hardy perennial that brings cheerful color to gardens with its bright golden-yellow petals and distinctive dark centers. These sturdy plants form attractive clumps and bloom prolifically from mid-summer through fall. They attract pollinators, make excellent cut flowers, and are deer-resistant. Native to North America, they're adaptable to various conditions and are perfect for meadow gardens, borders, or mass plantings.

Rudbeckia Plant Care

Plant Rudbeckia in full sun to partial shade in well-draining soil. While tolerant of various soil types, they perform best in fertile, moderately moist conditions. Water regularly during establishment, though plants become drought-tolerant once mature. Pinching can produce more compact plants in taller varieties. Allow seeds to fall to assure permanence in the garden. Spent flower heads can be cut back to prevent too many volunteers. Spent foliage can be cut back to 6" for a flush of new growth. Can be divided every 4 years in spring.

Plantable Pots

Our plants are grown in 3.5x3.5x4” plantable pots. Made from 100% biodegradable coconut husk fibers (coir), these pots have tremendous advantages over plastic pots. With better air exchange, this "breathable" pot fosters robust root growth and reduces transplant shock since you can plant the pots directly in the ground. The pot naturally becomes part of the soil on its own over time—no composting required—and since they're made from a renewable resource that requires very little energy, they're earth-friendly too!
