Eupatorium General Information

Eupatorium are excellent performers that will tolerate a moist site. Lots of late summer color attractive to butterflies. This compact perennial wildflower is indigenous to moist open woods and banks of rivers or creeks. Spreads by rhizomes for a good soil stabilizer. Eupatorium has recently been reclassified as Eutrochium. Idaho has restricted all potted plant material from being shipped into Idaho at this time.

Eupatorium Plant Care

Best in a consistently moist site. Benefits from division every 4-5 years in spring or fall. Slow to emerge in spring. Stems and seedheads are attractive in early winter.
