From the Younique™ Series, this earlier bloomer has increased flower power per plant – often double the number of plumes. Bouquets of dense salmon-pink plumes sit atop the lacy foliage. This series is touted for its improved heat and drought tolerance and cold tolerance to zone 3 has also been reported.

Astilbe Younique Salmon was developed by Dutch hybridizer, Jan Verschoor. They bloom about 2 weeks before other Astilbe. Astilbe are mainstays of shade and woodland gardens. They combine well with other moisture-loving plants like Brunnera, Ligularia, Lobelia and Hosta. A long-time perennial favorite in the American landscape.
