Grown Primarily for Stunning Foliage
Silver-gray, filagree-like foliage creates soothing contrast among intense flower colors and typical green foliage. Its low, wide mound keeps its shape all season. Exceptional performance year after year. Flowering is not significant; however, sometimes buff-yellow flowers are held aloft at 36” on tall scapes in late summer to early fall. Artemisia Silver Lining does not spread by underground runners. Perfect for a groundcover filler or it plays well with others in mixed containers. A 2024 Proven Winners’ Top Pick Perennial with strong appeal. Also known as White Sagebrush, it was tested for disease resistance, vigor, and durability to earn its ‘Top Pick’ status.

Artemisia General Information

Artemisia are prized for their aromatic silver leaves, excellent texture and vigorous growth. This perennial does not flower conspicuously, but are used for their contrasting foliage. Also excellent in flower arrangements. Idaho has restricted all potted plant material from being shipped into Idaho at this time.

Artemisia Plant Care

Aretemisia thrive in full sun with well-drained soil. Fast growing. If desired, cut back any damaged foliage in spring or to control size. Can be sheared during the summer to maintain a low mat-like profile if stems begin to grow upright - new foliage will flush out quickly.

Plantable Pots

Our plants are grown in 3.5x3.5x4” plantable pots. Made from 100% biodegradable coconut husk fibers (coir), these pots have tremendous advantages over plastic pots. With better air exchange, this "breathable" pot fosters robust root growth and reduces transplant shock since you can plant the pots directly in the ground. The pot naturally becomes part of the soil on its own over time—no composting required—and since they're made from a renewable resource that requires very little energy, they're earth-friendly too!

100% Guarantee

We offer a 100% unconditional guarantee for all our perennials to reach you in good condition and to grow. If you're not satisfied, we'll reship or refund immediately. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have questions or concerns—we share your passion for gardening and want your new plants to thrive in your border!
