Each cheerful red Amaryllis bulb is encased in wax and requires no planting and no watering. A coiled wire base keeps this snowman upright and freestanding. Great for gifting. Place the bulb in bright indirect light. Rotate the bulb every few days to prevent the stalk from leaning. Festive single trumpet-shaped red flowers will brighten your home. Amaryllis General Information

Brighten winter with a burst of color indoors! Amaryllis are prized for their bold trumpet-shaped flowers and are great for gifting. Enjoy watching it progress from bulb to much anticipated glorious blooms, which appear 8-12 weeks after planting. Once you’ve grown Amaryllis, it’s hard to imagine a winter without them.

Amaryllis Plant Care

Amaryllis hot-dipped in wax have everything they need to grow and bloom contained in the bulb. The bulb is kept from drying out by the wax (no watering required) and they require no care other than some indirect light and a warm spot to sit (70 to 75°F is ideal). Amaryllis wax bulbs will typically bloom within 4 to 6 weeks but can sometimes take a little longer. Rotate the bulb if it begins to lean toward the sun to keep the flower stalk growing straight. If you wish to continue growing the bulb after it is done blooming, remove the wax coating and the wire stand and pot it as instructed in our complete Amaryllis Growing Guide.
