A Truly Eye-catching Effect
Add a burst of vibrant color to your landscape with the unique multicolored blooms of Weigela Czechmark Trilogy. This standout shrub dazzles with flowers that open white, then gradually shift to pink and finally red—often displaying all three colors at once. A heavy bloomer, it delivers an impressive floral show throughout the season against a backdrop of glossy, apple-green foliage that remains handsome all season long. Shines in full sun for maximum blooms but appreciates a bit of shade in hotter climates.

Weigela General Information

Weigela florida is a classic flowering shrub that brings reliable spring color to gardens. Originally from East Asia, these hardy plants feature masses of tubular flowers in shades of pink, red, or white that attract hummingbirds and bees. With arching branches, Weigela offers both ornamental blooms and attractive foliage, making it an excellent choice for borders, hedges, and foundation plantings. Many modern varieties offer repeat blooming and compact sizes.

Weigela Plant Care

Weigela florida is not overly particular about soil or care. Though it adapts to most soil types, including clay, it prefers medium moisture, well-drained soils. Very best floral display is in full sun, but some shade isn't harmful, particularly in hotter climates. While regular pruning isn't necessary, you can shape the shrub immediately after flowering, and it's recommended to remove the oldest stems every 3-5 years to encourage vigorous growth. Be patient in spring as Weigela is late to leaf out, and wait until new growth appears before pruning any winter damage

Plantable Pots

Our plants are grown in 3.5x3.5x4” plantable pots. Made from 100% biodegradable coconut husk fibers (coir), these pots have tremendous advantages over plastic pots. With better air exchange, this "breathable" pot fosters robust root growth and reduces transplant shock since you can plant the pots directly in the ground. The pot naturally becomes part of the soil on its own over time—no composting required—and since they're made from a renewable resource that requires very little energy, they're earth-friendly too!
