Trifolium are ornamental shamrocks that are now being grown for the garden. Many four-leaf clovers to find in this versatile groundcover. Lively mounding foliage is chocolate brown with an edging of light green. In summer, dainty creamy-white flowers emerge.

Trifolium General Information:

Trifolium are prostrate spreaders. Good over bulbs. Provides green fertilizer by adding nitrogen to the soil. Helps break up denser soils and prevents erosion.

Trifolium Plant Care:

Prefers an average alkaline soil with adequate level of fertility and consistent moisture. Likes plenty of water but not extremes in temperature. Allow seeds to fall to ensure future generations of plants. Can be cut back to maintain shape and freshen foliage. Will self sow.
