One of North America's most beautiful native grasses. Upright stiff blue stems launch golden brown seed fronds. Sorghastrum Sioux Blue provides a stunning contrast with gray-blue foliage and chestnut-hued plumes. Indian Grass is ideal for stabilizing slopes prone to erosion.

Sorghastrum General Information

Sorghastrum are noted for their narrow, upright habit and metallic blue foliage. Tolerant of a wide range of soils. Native to North American Prairies. Indian Grass is ideal for stabilizing slopes prone to erosion. Ornamental Grasses are restricted from Idaho and Oregon.

Sorghastrum Plant Care

Can be divided in spring when needed. Cut back in early spring to 3-4" before new growth appears.
