Sisyrinchium are semi-evergreen perennials with narrow leaves that appear to be an ornamental grass, but actually belong to the Iris family. Noted for violet-blue flowers with yellow eyes on branched flowering stems. Plants will gradually expand as self-sowing at the base occurs. Ornamental Grasses are restricted from Idaho and Oregon. Idaho has restricted all potted plant material from being shipped into Idaho at this time.
Tolerates a wide range of soils as long as well drained in winter. Can be sheared back after flowering. If desired divide after flowering.
