Dark maroon ruffled rosettes are tinted with bronze green.

Dark maroon ruffled rosettes tinted with bronze green grow in two rows along stems to quickly form a dense evergreen mat. Rose-red clusters of blossoms form at tips in summer. A rock garden, rock solid favorite!

Foliage will turn deeper burgundy with cooler temperatures. Sedum Blaze of Fulda is a low-growing succulent perfect for rock gardens and green roofs. Our plant spacing recommendations are based on how quickly these plants will spread in their first season of growth.

Sedum General Information

Sedum are grown for their distinctive fleshy foliage. They are available in a wide range of shapes and sizes - upright and groundcovers. A reliable, hardy and easy-to-grow perennial. Star-shaped flowers are usually in clusters or sprays that often change color throughout their bloom time. Idaho has restricted all potted plant material from being shipped into Idaho at this time.

Sedum Plant Care

Prefers full sun with average to poor well-drained soil. Can be divided every 2-3 years in spring. Stems pull off easily and will root readily for transplanting. Winter damaged foliage can be cut back in early spring for a flush of new growth.

Plantable Pots

Our plants are grown in 3.5x3.5x4” plantable pots. Made from 100% biodegradable coconut husk fibers (coir), these pots have tremendous advantages over plastic pots. With better air exchange, this "breathable" pot fosters robust root growth and reduces transplant shock since you can plant the pots directly in the ground. The pot naturally becomes part of the soil on its own over time—no composting required—and since they're made from a renewable resource that requires very little energy, they're earth-friendly too!
