Rhododendron General Information

Rhododendron are noted for gorgeous and abundant spring blooms. Cut stems as they reach peak bloom for stunning floral arrangements. Idaho has restricted all potted plant material from being shipped into Idaho at this time.

Rhododendron Plant Care

Happiest in a protected area away from strong winter winds and in well-drained, acidic soil. Fertilize in spring with a granular slow-release product for acid-loving plants. Blooms on old wood, so trim branches or shape immediately after flowering so you do not remove the next season's flower buds. Annual pruning is not required.
