Pyrethrum General Information
Pyrethrum are large daisies of white to pink to red freely produced in late spring to summer. Superb for long-lasting cut flowers. Finely-cut, mounding foliage is attractive even when not in bloom. Painted daisies are perfect in cottage gardens and mixed borders.
Idaho has restricted all potted plant material from being shipped into Idaho
at this time.
Pyrethrum Plant Care
Non invasive, trim plants back in spring. Cut back spent flower stems to promote reblooming. After blooming shear back to basal foliage. Pyrethrum may be divided every other year in spring or very early fall. Can be pinched in spring to promote bushiness. May appreciate afternoon shade in very hot regions. May need staking.
