An Aromatic Subshrub
Good for a border spot where Russian Sage would look nice, but would be too large. Perovskia Little Spire is upright and compact at 2' with all the good qualities of the genus. Violet-blue flowers atop aromatic grey-green foliage. This variety does well without spring pinching.

Perovskia General Information

Perovskia are graceful aromatic shrubs with an open habit. Long spikes of silvery-blue flowers accent its complementary silver-gray foliage. Flowers almost two months from the summer into the fall. Shrub-size, semi-woody plants for full sun. Drought tolerant. Avoid too moist (wet feet). Idaho has restricted all potted plant material from being shipped into Idaho at this time.

Perovskia Plant Care

Prefers somewhat dry soil with good drainage. Can be divided every 4-6 years in spring or fall. Offsets from side of clump can be dug and transplanted. Should not be cut back hard in the fall, leaving some stem buds for next year's growth. Clean up old foliage and stems in spring.
