Oenothera General Information

Oenothera are spikes of colorful flowers that open with the new day. These colorful varieties make fine additions to borders and rock gardens alike. Avoid wet feet. Fills in rapidly so give it plenty of room. Not fussy as to soil type. Idaho has restricted all potted plant material from being shipped into Idaho at this time.

Oenothera Plant Care

This trouble-free plant is tolerant of poor, dry soil and self sows readily. After flowering, can be sheared back by 1/3 and shaped for nice form in the garden. Can be divided in spring or fall every 4 - 5 years or as needed to control spread.
