Clouds of Pink
Spectacular cottony clouds of pink flower panicles bestow delicate softness in your autumn garden. Plant in large drifts as the billowing fountain of pink creates a dream-like effect, or make a billowy container presentation. Truly breathtaking! Known for its tolerance to drought and poor soils. A tough North American native cultivar. Muhlenbergia Pink Cloud is slightly taller and more uniform in bloom than the straight species while retaining the open and airy appeal. Birds love the seeds. Extremely adaptable and low maintenance. Perfect for slopes. Absolutely sparkles in the sun. Beautiful when tucked into cut-flower arrangements, too.

Muhlenbergia General Information

Muhlenbergia are clump-forming grasses. Stems begin to arch outward as summer progresses producing a weeping habit. Pink seed heads rise above the foliage in early Fall. Foliage slowly turns buff colored in fall. Ornamental Grasses are restricted from Idaho and Oregon. Idaho has restricted all potted plant material from being shipped into Idaho at this time.

Muhlenbergia Plant Care

Tolerant of drought, heat and poor soils. Can be divided in spring. Does not produce runners. If desired, shear in late winter before new spring growth appears. Requires well-drained soil to survive wet winters.
