Produces the deepest red-velvet flowers over dense, large silver-woolly leaves at the ground. The flowers of Lychnis open one at a time and last a day, but they do so over a long blooming period in the spring and summer. Lychnis Plant Care

Cut back plant by 1/3 when first blooms begin to fade. Divide periodically in spring. Will self sow. Prefers a well-drained winter site. Can be pinched back to control height.
