Leymus Blue Dune makes an excellent, drought-tolerant, taller ground cover. Prefers dry, sunny locations. Cooler autumn weather may result in foliage blushed with yellow or rose tones.

Leymus are effective for controlling soil erosion and prefer dry, sunny locations. Allow plenty of room to sprawl. Blue Lyme Grass will self-sow.

Leymus Plant Care

Leymus is a cool-season ornamental grass. A nutrient-poor soil tends to inhibit its spreading tendency. Somewhat sensitive to overwatering-does not like to stay wet. If needed, cut back after blooming (seedheads) to encourage a flush of bright, fresh autumn growth. Old foliage may be cut to ground level in late fall or early spring.
