Iris General Information
An excellent plant for early spring bloom in a shaded area of the rock garden, perennial border or woodland garden. Foliage forms a nice ground cover for woodland areas. May also be used as a seasonal ground cover or edger.
Idaho has restricted all potted plant material from being shipped into Idaho
at this time.
Iris Plant Care
Iris cristata are best grown in organically rich, well-drained soils in part shade. Will tolerate close to full shade. Soil must be kept consistently moist if grown in full sun. A nice ground cover on well-drained banks or slopes. Grows from rhizomes and can be divided after flowering is done with a sharp spade or pull apart entangled rhizomes.
