Hollyhock General Information
Hollyhock are perhaps the definitive old-fashioned garden plant. Flowering from late spring through summer. From the Spotlight™ Series, this versatile Hollyhock is a multi-use plant that can be grown as a cut flower, used in large containers or planted in the landscape. Best selection for the coldest areas (zones 3 & 4), not for the gulf states.
Idaho has restricted all potted plant material from being shipped into Idaho
at this time.
Hollyhock Plant Care
Truly a perennial, will bloom the first year from seed. Allow to self sow to ensure future plants. May need staking. Rust (little orange dots on the leaves) can be a problem in high humidity and can be treated with a copper based fungicide. Cut plants back to 8" after blooming.
