Hakonechloa General Information

Hakonechloa are one of the best ornamental grass choices for shade. Likes a moist humusy soil, and good drainage. Cascades handsomely over itself. Ornamental Grasses are restricted from Idaho and Oregon. Idaho has restricted all potted plant material from being shipped into Idaho at this time.

Hakonechloa Plant Care

Prefers a uniformly moist, humus-rich soil in partial shade. If division is desired it should be done in the spring as new growth develops. In Northern zones plants will benefit from a layer of mulch for winter.
